In Top Ten Questions About MLM #5, I mentioned the importance of not looking at just the comp plan, company or products or only looking at all of the above. Some of the less tangible factors are much more important than specifically product, company or comp plan.
These are very important, but I’d like to make sure you realize that some of the things that are not as easy to quantify will be the most the most important factors in your choice. You might want to read the previous article in this series here- MLM Training, if you are at this crossroads in your network marketing journey.
I’d just like to point out that making sure your new MLM home business is aligned with your core values & working with the right team can be far more important & basic than the company, comp plan or product in your final decision. If your choice is aligned with your core values & you are working with the right team they should have already chosen a great comp plan, company & product.
With that said, let’s get into the things I looked at regarding comp plan. Again I take a somewhat unorthodox approach & look at the big picture on this. I’m not going to get into a debate over whether binary, unilevel etc. are better. Volumes can be written on that, & much of it is crap without considering some of the factors below…
I want to cover some of the factors people don’t always pay as much attention to when making the choice of what they think the best comp plan for them might be.
What I looked at when checking out the comp plan for my current MLM business…
What is the attrition rate or distributor retention rate? - In other words, since the company opened it’s doors, what percentage of people have kept their membership active? This is very important as most companies talk of passive residual wealth streams, but do not have the level of retention to support it. Most MLM companies are at 10-15% retention or lower. This means 85-90% of distributors who join under you quit. I looked for a company with a better than 90% retention in the entire life of the company. Going from 10% retention to 85% retention is a 750% increase in payout!HINT- Almost no MLM companies in existence today can prove a retention rate this high. If you want true passive, residual wealth, or walk-away income, you must have a comp plan & product value that encourages very high retention rates among distributors.
How much can they pay you & still remain strong? – I am in electronically delivered information as my product. Because of this, we pay out 68%, and the company can still achieve rapid growth at this level of payout. If you can do an electronically delivered info product, you will always get a much higher percentage of the payout due to lack of overhead from all the aspects of making and handling physical product. It’s also less of a headache for you. This is about a 36% increase over the best payouts in this industry for companies that deliver physical product.
Can someone deliver a similar product for a lower or the same price & still provide the same kind of value & compensation plan? – This is not specifically a look at comp plan only, but is more of a look at where the company is positioned relative to the entire market. It is a look at whether the company operates from red ocean strategy or blue ocean strategy. If the company does not have strong value innovation that cannot be easily duplicated, it may not be able to maintain any comp plan advantages it has starting out.
The first two of these differences combined can result in a 786% total increase in payout over just an average company (not a bad one). This just requires an 85% plus retention rate and an electronic product that can sustainably pay out 68%.
This does is not even taking into account the advantages of being a blue ocean company with an unmatchable value innovation. Unfortunately, most MLM companies today do not achieve this retention rate or payout.
If you are in one that does, stick with it.You have a great company & comp plan.
If you don’t have this kind of company & comp plan, get in touch with me immediately so I can help…
To your unbounded success, prosperity & happiness…
Hello subscribers… Well, things are at a point where my traffic & everything else is starting to explode the last few days. I want to speak with you today about inbound marketing & MLM. Inbound permission based marketing is the foundation of what we do & discuss here on this blog.
This may be a long one, but I owe it to my subscribers to give some more detail on what I do.
I’ve spent the last few months doing training, building websites & setting up my marketing. It took awhile to figure out the marketing strategy that was most suited to my personality, but it was worth the journey.
I now have two methods that I actually learned & have personally applied these last several months, to pass on to you. I also have the many others that I offer training for in my training & marketing system. Since there are starting to be a lot of questions being asked about my business, it’s important that I start to discuss that a little on my blog.
18 to 20 Year Old MLM Gurus – Where did they come from?
You’ve probably seen the kids everywhere on videos that have found the “Holy Grail” to network marketing & are making zillions of dollars. I have to hope that the intentions of these young entrepreneurs in most cases are good. As inexperienced business people, I think some of them just don’t quite grasp the integrity aspect of business yet.
If you are new to marketing online, you must realize that marketing & training systems exist that will turn many of these kids into online MLM superstars in a very short time.
Why? Because they are not afraid to try these new systems & methods, & they are very comfortable with technology. I was very skeptical to join an online MLM, and for good reason. On the technical end of things, it took me 2 months to do what these kids were doing in two days…I mean, I’m 41 years old. Any of you 35 & up looking at this may have similar concerns.
It’s important for you to realize, that as someone who may already be a leader, or who already has experience with network marketing, you have a lot of advantages over these kids that more than make up for your lack of tech skills.
You have leadership & people skills that it may take these kids years to develop. I have met a couple of them who are very sharp & put out great content, but most do not yet write content of the quality you find here.
If you are one of those kids straight out of college or high school who is reading this, don’t worry, we have the leadership training for you as well.
What do we do here at MLM Peak Performance?
The foundation of our system is to provide value and offer solutions to people before offering to sell them anything. This is the foundation of all types of marketing that fall under these names- inbound marketing, permission marketing, attraction marketing & magnetic sponsoring.
Because this style of marketing is geared toward creating a relationship with your prospect first, we have not really discussed my specific business on this blog, until the last week. Those of you who are new here may want to go back and read some of my articles here- MLM Home Business or here- FREE MLM Training Newsletter to get to know me better, before you read this post.
For those of you who have been reading this blog, or who may have already joined my team, it’s time to get more in depth about what it is that I do…
What I offer here & on my website is a system complete with personalized websites, branded capture pages & domains, a complete marketing system which trains you & your team in online MLM marketing techniques & top notch training for the leadership skills used in today’s inbound attraction marketing. This system is designed so that you can plug your current primary MLM into the system and start signing up prospects online immediately.
It is designed to fund your primary network marketing business by providing you unlimited highly qualified leads, while creating income from all those who don’t join your primary MLM (about 95% of prospects).
Our system, which you find at the MLM Training link shown above, is based on the principles of attraction marketing or Magnetic Sponsoring. In a more broad sense, attraction marketing falls under the umbrella of inbound or permission marketing.
This system is geared to provide the two main things missing in most people’s MLM home business. Leadership training for professional relationship building & a complete marketing system for training your team & marketing your primary MLM online…
So…the reason people are having so much success with marketing their online MLM (or offline MLM), indeed their online businesses in general, in this way is because of a couple of things.
What’s wrong with Outbound Marketing?
These days there are so many ways to block outbound marketing. Outbound marketing is based on interruption, while inbound marketing is based on invitation or permission. Not only is your message much more likely to be opened, but it is much more likely to be acted upon, when your prospect requests to receive it.
Traditional outbound marketing would be things like news & print ads, tv commercials, display ads, direct mail, spam email. If you want to know the effectiveness of these methods today, just think about your irritation factor with these methods & all the ways you have to block the message. How does responding to that kind of stuff make you feel?
You don’t have to use inbound marketing, but if you want a massively successful MLM home business today, you had better think seriously about it…
Why Inbound Marketing?
Inbound marketing is the new way for the network marketing industry, but not just for this industry, for online business as a whole. It does a few things, but most importantly, it is geared to provide value & solutions to the customer, for FREE, before ever asking for any kind of sale. This builds a relationship with the customer.
This is a key point for you, as a network marketer. Remember the following as long you plan to be in this industry…if you want massive success. Professional relationship builder is your job title. This has been true since the industry existed…
You have two responsibilities to your company that are also the only two things that make you money, recruiting new team members & retailing product.
The one activity you must engage in & improve upon daily is professional relationship building. This is the one activity that will enable you to consistently recruit & retail more & more throughout your career.
What are the true advantages of this system?
I mentioned two reasons why inbound marketing or attraction marketing is so much better…
#1 & 2- They were that, your message is much more likely to be opened, & it is much more likely to be acted upon, when your prospect requests to receive it.
Our system works for MLM better than the other inbound marketing systems in that it was designed for network marketers by network marketers.
We give you a complete system that covers all the aspects where most traditional MLMs have been seriously lacking, or where they charged you an arm and a leg (if they provided it all)…the marketing training & system & the cutting edge leadership training based on what works today.
You are being given the step-by-step formula on the proper integration of these internal & external factors, & being offered them all in one system for network marketing online. We have chosen to create something that solves the problems of most network marketers trying to make money online, therefore making every network marketer online our potential customer.
Since inbound marketing, & attraction marketing specifically, is today’s most effective method for professional relationship building, it’s imperative that you understand & utilize it’s powerful leverage online.
The MLM Peak Performance MLSP System will provide you the training you need and a complete training & marketing system for training your new team members & getting your primary MLM into profit online.
If you are looking for a primary MLM to join, I believe mine is by far the best opportunity available for all the most important reasons. I am creating a page to let you learn more detail about what I’m doing called “Work With Scott”. You’ll be able to connect to my primary MLM business sales site. You can hear Brian Tracy speak about why it is such an amazing business opportunity .
Please contact me first if you are thinking of leaving your primary or starting a new MLM home business. I encourage you to stick with your company until you get all the facts & first make sure the company you are moving over to aligns with your core values.
I offer a free 1 on 1 coaching session for anyone who is thinking of joining my primary or any other. The purpose of this coaching is not to convert you to my company. I don’t need to do that, as my primary sells itself.
One of the most serious problems in this industry, both for the image of network marketing as a whole & relative to the potential for success of individual reps, is the tendency to jump from company to company looking for the next greatest deal. Many fail because they don’t stick with the biz or a company long enough to see real success. I just want to make sure you are asking all the right questions, before making such an important decision.
Make sure you take advantage of one the many ways you can contact me if you are at a crucial point in your MLM home business. I am glad to help.
To your unbounded success, prosperity & happiness…
If you had told me several months ago that I would be doing network marketing full time, I would have thought you were nuts. Now, I had various contacts throughout the last several years that I bought MLM products from & that tried to recruit me.
My only experience with actually doing anything related to direct sales was as an 18 year old kid right out of high school trying to sell perfume & cologne door to door.
This was an interesting experience that I can definitely say was very humiliating. Many of us got a start in this business with an experience something like that. I was not a leader, & was a pretty shy kid. It’s crazy to think of who I am today compared to that awkward teenager.
Over the last 60 years of market data on the MLM industry, 97% of people fail & 3% succeed. I was certainly one of the 97% then!
It’s funny. That experience turned me off on sales in general. For the next 15 years plus after that painful experience, I never even thought of doing sales. In fact I did everything but that, as far as formal work was concerned.
Back in 2004 I had been in the same industry for nearly 15 years & had worked my way all the way up the ranks. I met a phenomenal mentor who became a friend & my boss. He referred me to a relative of his for a job, based on how I handled one problem situation for him.
As a side note, how you handle customers who have some problem is a true indicator of the type of business person you are, and is usually one of your best chances to outshine your competition.
I talked with this person I was referred to for over an hour, & had an encounter with a great salesman and owner of a business. When we were done, he had talked me into doing sales for him instead of the entry level supervisor position I thought I was applying for!
It’s really funny, because I had no idea that was where he was going with the conversation. At this point in my life I had achieved so much that I was very self-confident & a leader. The memory of the pain of my first experience with sales had faded somewhat.
I was hungry for new challenges & accepted readily. I had immediate success & discovered that I had natural ability at sales and had developed some pretty decent communication skills over the years. The next 5 years were a new world for me.
I had come full circle & ended up doing the one thing I thought I would never do. Through those 5 years I was becoming an entrepreneur as well, and started various businesses, never having much success. I continued plugging away & getting better at my sales career during this time.
I began meeting various people during that time who introduced me to many network marketing opportunities. In the beginning, I looked at a lot of these associates & felt sorry for them. They were people I liked, but they seemed pathetic to me. If you had a conversation with these people, one of the first things they would speak of was their MLM business.
As I traveled the path of the beginning entrepreneur, I began to pay them more attention. I was very skeptical of MLM at first, but when I realized the cold, hard reality of being an entrepreneur in anything, I began to take a closer look at MLM.
I became intrigued. I looked at the industry, the market dynamics, the economy & began to come to the conclusion that network marketing could be a more promising opportunity than anything I’d ever encountered.
The last three I looked at, before deciding on my current business were MonaVie, Amway & Prepaid Legal. I did not join any of those.
I do believe in the industry 100%. I believe the timing has never been better for anyone to get involved in this industry. If you are thinking about it, remember that continuously learning is not only the way to stay young, but it is your best bet for achieving success.
Don’t be afraid of a new experience. Running your own business is not for everyone, but it is available to those who decide. If you decide, there is not another entrepreneurial enterprise you can start that has as few barriers or requirements to get started.
Realize that as an entrepreneur in any business you have to be self-motivated, driven & committed. As a network marketer, you are the leader. Everyone in your frontline and below is in your organization that you lead, & depends on you for that.
Just as importantly, your success depends on it. You must learn to be a leader to have massive success in this industry. Work with me, and I will help you become a “3 percent’er”.
Here is a reprint of an article that was originally a reply that I gave to a question I posed in our networking community. I then expanded on the answer & it became an article on my website (which you can visit here) – Online MLM Success. It has been very helpful to some people, so I wanted to post it here on my blog and release to the article directories as well.
This is a basic primer for people who are getting started with online MLM or getting started with internet marketing in general. The purpose of this article is to give people some basic help understanding metatags, metadata & meta description tag, so they can do some effective SEO & SEM without a lot of knowledge.
I want to mention I am not an SEO expert in any way. These are just some changes I researched that increased my websitegrader.com score about 35% when implememted. I hope that you can utilize this without too much confusion or work to get some improvements in your sites.
This article is a little more in depth on an answer to my question on SEO & metadata that I asked when I was getting started in this industry. I researched the question & answered it myself. It’s very basic, but if you have not implemented these basic concepts, you can do this and get 30-40% improvement on your websitegrader.com score just like I did.
First I will go over some basic definitions with you on the terms SEO, SEM, metadata, metatag, and meta description or meta description tag and then we will go over how to use them in your online MLM. If you are new to some other type of internet marketing and not in an online MLM, this will still be helpful info for you.
SEO stands for search engine optimization. SEO is making web pages friendly to search engine spiders and making them relevant to keywords you have decided to target.
SEM stands for search engine marketing. SEM is when you research, locate, submit and position your website in the search engines for the greatest exposure. SEM includes choosing target keywords and keyword phrases for your website’s metatags. It can also include buying and placing advertising in search eengines.
Metadata decsribes the content in other data . Web pages show metadata in the form of metatags. Keyword and meta description tags are genrally used to describe a website or webpages content. Search engines use the data when they add pages to the search index.
Title tag is often called meta title. The title tag and header tags are areas on a web page enclosed by heading tags. Heading tags are not always of equal importance, with regard to SEO. It depends somewhat on the number used in the headings or sub-headings. Title, heading tags and content need to be relevant to the keywords your web page targets.
Meta tag description is the information in one of the metatags that has the description of the web page or website. Search engines use this info when search results are displayed.
Metatags are there just for search engine spiders. The essential metatags are the meta description tag and keyword meta tag.
Keywords and key phrases are terms or words used in search engine inquiries.
Today search engines place less emphasis on metadata, especially the meta tags keywords as they are to easy to use for misleading searchers to your websites. The title tag (or meta title tag as it’s often referred to mistakenly) and the meta description tag are great places for keywords if they are used in a sentence format making them useful to people searching.
Your title tag and meta description are very important, when done properly they will increase your click thru rates. If meta tags are missing keywords or not readable by humans they will fail. (These are what you see in the blue bar at the top left of your internet explorer and in the title and description under the results, when you search on google).
You need to manipulate your title tag and meta description tag to sell and promote your products or services. Your title tag should be no more than 70 characters or google will not show it in the search results heading. Your meta description should be no more than 150 characters, and both should be very readable to the human eye. (If you make these too long they still help with SEO but are useless in terms of SEM).
The meta tags keywords are not as useful today because of the ease of manipulation I mentioned. Most emphasis has been moved to links and site content. Only use words in your meta keywords that are found in your meta title and meta description or in the content of your website. The more times your keyword shows up on a page or website, the more relevant the page is for that search.
Be careful about keyword density, as search engines and directories may downgrade your page because they consider stuffing your page with keywords to be spamming. Spend the most time writing your title tag. Think about your best keywords and craft that 70 characters like a masterful tweet.
Use your main keywords or key phrases 3-5 times per article or page and make sure to use them at least 1-2 times in the 1st couple of paragraphs. Try to pepper them lightly through the beginning, middle and end of your content.
I hope this helps to make a complex subject easier. Obviously, if you have the money you can use SEO experts. I started my business on a very tight budget and so this was extremely helpful info for me to learn.
I just want to give everyone a more personal post today. You’ll notice some changes in my blog lately. It’s all designed to continue making it a better place for you to visit. I want everyone of you to be able to get to know me better, so I have been working at getting some more personal stuff on here for you.
In all honesty, I am not the best with computers & software, so building all of this myself has been quite a challenge for me.
I appreciate the kind words & that you are getting value out of my site. I will be bringing one of the latest superstars of internet marketing for an interview on my new podcast. Make sure you don’t miss it!
Even though he is very busy sponsoring 35 plus people per month into his business & still in the midst of his new product launch, David Wood has been gracious enough to accept my invitation for an interview about the current market dynamics & massive trends affecting the network marketing industry today.
It’s very important for all of you that have a primary MLM or are thinking about getting involved in a MLM home business to understand the importance of your choice of vehicle, your timing & the team you choose to work with.
We are in a perfect storm of opportunity for this industry because of a convergence of various factors. The almost universal nature of certain technologies, mediums and types of communication combined with our economic chaos & the desperate need it has created for many people just like you is going to spawn many millionaires over the next several years.
It’s verifiable fact, if you want to verify, that throughout the last hundred years the greatest fortunes have been created in times like these. It is not that people are weak & to be taken advantage of, like many marketers today think.
It’s that helping people to create incomes, success & even fortunes right now is not only a great opportunity, but a responsibility for those leaders who have the ability to do so.
I would like to invite you to dream big & help me to create success in your life & the lives of others. There is no more rewarding business you could be in today than network marketing.
Hello my friend. I want to speak with you today about a topic that many people really need to grasp. If you want phenomenal success in MLM, you need to own this concept & make it an integral part of what you do.
This issue is something I’ve been working at ever since I started my website. I have had a hard time getting the right message on my website & getting that message to come through in my videos. It is an ongoing work of love.
It’s really important for you to understand that network marketing is about two things. Networking (or professional relationship building) & marketing. Many of us get those two concepts out of order. Marketing is incredibly important.
The lack of marketing skills is why I ran several businesses online over the period from 2004 to 2008 and had no real success. The fact that I now do training in this area every day is a big part of why I’ve had more success & better results in the last few months than I had in the entire 5 years prior.
Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, though. Remember that network comes before marketing, and while you should be doing marketing training daily, you must build a relationship before you market to your prospect.
One of my primary marketing methods is mostly automated, so I have to work hard and continually to make sure that it’s not too salesy (is that a word?) I have to continually adjust my message to make sure people are getting value & not getting distracted by what I promote.
It’s very important to understand that it’s not that offline methods do not work, it’s that for most of us, the approach we were taking online or off, was wrong.
Listen, there is nothing wrong with wanting to include your family & friends in something that can change their life. This is my most fundamental goal in this business, to make the lives of others better. However, your family & friends are not qualified prospects in most cases.
It does not make sense to push them away & alienate them early in your business. When you start having success, they will all wonder what you are doing and many will ask you how they can get involved in your business.
Many people take this approach online as well. They get some friends and immediately start pushing their business on these people, without first building a relationship.
If you would like to build quickly & effectively in your MLM business, you need to focus on professional relationship building, while you are learning your new marketing skills.
97% of people who get into this industry fail. If you have a bunch of new friends on Twitter, Facebook or wherever you network, take a little time & watch the percentage of people who lead with a business opportunity before knowing you.
If 97% of new network marketers fail & most people online are using their networking in this manner, there may be a little correlation. Every top producer in this industry I’ve personally spoken with tells me this is one of the largest barriers to success in this industry.
If you’re in an offline MLM, this is not an attack on you. I use a combination of offline & online MLM methods. It’s just that many people believe this is the way to do things because uplines have been telling them so for 50 plus years.
If you want to have amazing success in MLM, try taking the marketing out of your initial interaction with your new contacts. Get to know them first and build a relationship with them.
You may be pleasantly surprised how many of them ask you what you do, and end up getting involved with your business…
Having the right mentor is really important. Also having a great mastermind group can be invaluable. I realize how fortunate I am to work with the people I do each & every day.
When you are trying to decide what MLM business to join pay close attention to the kind of leadership that you will have access to. An organization set up to have access to a large group of extremely successful team members will give you a resource beyond measure.
Being able to reach out and use the minds of a group of people is so effective it has changed the world of business ( the concept known as crowdsourcing ). People love to work together in this manner and will often work far more diligently in a situation like this than when they are being paid.
It is not always easy to find those teams and leaders, but it is worth the search. I did not join the first, second, third, fourth or even fifth company I was exposed to in the network marketing industry, but I am very glad I took the time and care to join the mentor, team & company I did.
Do your due diligence and find the right network marketing opportunity for you.
In our presentation tonight for team members & prospects in our primary MLM one thing kind of jumped out at me. It was about how not everything is right for everyone, & your MLM success is somewhat determined by this reality.
The presentation was phenomenal as always. Much thanks to my sponsor & mentor David Wood for that. It always seems that he out does himself. When someone presents and gives at his level it’s hard to believe they’ll be able to do better. But he always does!
The thing that jumped out at me was relevant, specifically, to my current journey in MLM. Maybe it struck me because it was, in some fated way, meant for me. I write about these types of things in hopes they might help just one other person as well.
With our MLM opportunity being available in almost every country globally and our site being translated into five different languages, it’s important to realize that there are two BILLION plus potential new reps out there. What I am going through could be almost exactly what someone in, say Nairobi, Kenya, is dealing with right now.
It’s important to write from that viewpoint & not just from a promotional aspect. If your primary goal is money, this interconnectedness means nothing more than relating enough to get paid, but if your goal in MLM is to help others it becomes essential.
David made the comment that not every marketing system or strategy works for the talents or personal skill sets of the individual in question. We need to be aware of this reality. You need to make sure you have created a marketing plan that works for you.
We offer training for every aspect of marketing from paid stuff like list builders, PPC and ezine ads all the way to free marketing like video, articles & blogging (in my marketing system). In my primary MLM, we offer training in every possible area a business owner or entrepreneur could ever need.
However, we sometimes get so caught up in the success of certain upline team members that we think we need to copy them to have our personal MLM success. It’s important that we take all the resources we are given & construct a plan that works for us.
We are all unique. We may be able to learn from our upline, & we should. However, we should always put our own personality into what we do. We need to take into account our own skills & abilities when creating our personal marketing plan.
Know yourself is a pretty important concept. If you do not know yourself, you may spend months or years trying to be David Wood Jr., when your greatest potential for massive success may lie within you, & being you.
To Your MLM Success & A Lifetime of Prosperity & Freedom,
In real estate you hear location, location, location. In the world of MLM, it is focus, focus, focus. There is so much information, so many inputs in our lives that focus can be a very difficult thing to come by.
In the article covering my meeting with Mark Yarnell, I cover the 10 Landmines he gave us to avoid in our MLM business - 5 Things-$100,000 Per Month One of those was the “Multi-tasking Bomb”. When we have important things in our business that get results we must remain focused on these tasks each day to insure that, at the very least, these tasks get done.
It is so easy to let things get in the way, especially if you work from home like I do. If you get to your task list at the end of your day, and you find that some of the most important things are still unchecked, you need work in this area.
I know I needed a ton of work in this area. Not having proper focus & a commitment to the right actions creates a situation where you can work 60-80 or more hours per week and still feel like you are spinning your wheels.
Understand that in today’s web 2.0 world, this is a challenge for most people. It’s not just you. It’s important to know what your greatest results producing actions are and make sure, that at least for that few hours of your day, you get uninterrupted time where you can apply laser focus to those tasks.
There is a 3 step process I do each day to help with this. It is a synthesis of things I’ve learned various places, but it is very effective. I do this each evening before bed.
I review my next 5 years goals plan.
I write down my 5 most important tasks for the following day.
I visualize the following day and the results as I would like them to play out.
Try doing this each evening for the next six weeks and you will see remarkable changes in the results you are getting with your business. If you don’t have goals set for the next 5 years, you need to do so.
If you have no clear vision of where you are going you might end up anywhere…
I just wanted to reach out to you quickly about the value of ongoing training and education for business people and entrepreneurs in general. In life it’s very important to have an edge. Ongoing MLM training is your “edge” in this business. Most of your competition in this industry receives poor or inadequate training.
In gambling, if you ask a pro, they’ll never go against the house without an “edge”. But in fact, the house sets things up so they always have some kind of an “edge”.
In sports many things may give the player an edge. I won’t talk about the illegal ones. Anyone serious about their athletic endeavor wants an “edge”. In my favorite field of personal athletic pursuit (martial arts) your main edge is time and effort.
Other “edges” can be had with special training, extra workouts, visualization, supplementation, etc.
For the network marketing industry any “edge” you can get is important. The figures do not lie. The numbers vary a little, but most agree that about 97% of people who start an MLM business fail.
The long term research suggests that of the people who start a network marketing business, 95% plus will never make the 6 to 7 figure income that is the Holy Grail of network marketing. A really important note is the flip side of this fact. Of those who stick with the same MLM company for 10 years or more, 95% do achieve 6 to 7 figure earner status.
What this says to me is that most of us are quitters. We don’t have the persistence to stick with anything until we absolutely master it. The MLM industry is one where your results are a direct result of “YOU” more than anything else.
This industry is all about personal development, mastery & excellence. If you think you can dabble in this industry and do well, good luck to you. If you understand that it takes commitment, persistence & the right ongoing training to succeed at anything, you are on the right track.
Anyone that is benefited by my blog, training or content is encouraged to utilize it. The training given here is meant to be used freely. I cannot stress enough the importance of quality training to success in this industry. The right training is your “edge”, and it is what I always endeavor to give anyone visiting me here.
Today there are 175,000 new people joining this industry each week. According to the statistics, 169,750 will fail. Are you one of the 5,500 who will be a top producer? Only you can say.
I know that getting quality training & education, getting with a mentor, choosing the right vehicle & working with a top mastermind team are the key areas where most people screw it up when getting started. You don’t get all of these with 99% of the companies or teams you join. Most new people starting out in this industry don’t have any idea how to determine these things.
Most don’t even know how important these aspects are to consider, before they make a commitment somewhere. We do have a resource to get you into a compnay with all of the above.
If you are a peak performer, don’t just put your name and email on my list to receive my MLM Training newsletter. Make sure you put a phone number on the form so you can get a free 1 on 1 coaching session with me.
If you just want lots of cool, free resources make sure you leave a first name and an email so I can get that to you right away.
This morning I was reviewing some of my general training materials that are for the network marketing industry as a whole. A lot of the MLM training that I provide & utilize is specifically sourced from and geared toward my primary MLM & my affiliate systems & store.
However, some of the best basic training I’ve received is more of a general nature and geared toward success or the network marketing industry as a whole. I find that some of the most valuable training for online MLM comes from simple, concise statements that are given by my mentors, or out of this more general training.
Many of these incredible MLM secrets are really not secrets. They are concepts that are widely available and often imparted very generously by the best people in this industry with no request for any kind of compensation.
This is very interesting because these ideas are often looked at briefly and then we move on and forget them. We forget the power of these concepts because of their simplicity, and we forget to apply them. Knowledge without application is a complete waste.
Let’s be thankful for these gifts by utilizing them and giving them to others.
We can spend thousands of dollars and never get these incredibly powerful concepts and yet…they are given to us for free ore very cheaply and we forget that we need to study, learn, teach and master them.
In my blog, one of the main goals is to touch on some of these concepts in depth so that you can have these truly life and business transforming concepts to use, without having to spend a lot of cash for them.
The concept I’d like to speak with you about today is doing your network marketing from the right quality of intention. This concept is the very first concept discussed in one of the first training resources I utilized. I touch on this point some in this article on my website – What Is MLM?
I went back to look at this book and did not get past the first couple of pages, where this concept is spoken of. I realized I needed to take a second look at the concept & make sure to continuously apply it in my business.
If you want ongoing success in the network marketing business, or indeed in sales & marketing in general, your intention needs to have the proper focus. See Tim Sales “Brilliant Compensation” for the source of this concept. (And thanks Tim!)
“Intention” is defined as – “an aim that guides action”. If you have the right intention with promoting your MLM to a prospect, then your actions will be guided by that aim.
The one goal I have & that anyone should have in this industry, when promoting their opportunity to a prospect, is to help them, to make their life better.
A lot of network marketers will go after a propspect with the intention in mind to make themselves lots of money, not to make the prospects life better.
I quote Tim Sales on this – “If your intention with the prospect is the wrong one, then your actions will (sooner or later) reveal what your true intentions are. People often think they can “fake it” in this critical part of their business, but I disagree.” – Tim Sales – Brilliant Compensation
This statement is absolute gold, and it is one of the first things you would hear if you were to be able to sit down and talk with a top producer like Mr. Sales.
These are the kinds of simple things we sometimes forget about.
Remember to start with the right intention and you can achieve success beyond your wildest dreams in MLM.
To your success,
Scott

In a previous post here - Taking Action I spoke with you about the importance of MLM Key Element #3 – making a commitment to taking consistent, focused action.
I wanted to drill into one part of that element a little further since it has often been a challenge for me. It is definitely a challenge for my fellow network marketers that I speak with on a daily basis. Dictionary.com defines focus as – “To direct toward a particular point or purpose”.
I find that with the enormous amount of information available to us online we often get distracted from what our central focus should be in our MLM business. It’s very important to understand that at any given moment in our business there is a certain action we should be focused on.
In my meeting with Mark Yarnell on Monday, there were a couple of things that really jumped out at me. He talked about multi-tasking and how it could have the potential to destroy your new network marketing business.
People can multi-task, just look at the millions of people driving and talking on a cellphone. Is it a good idea? No way! You may be able to multi-task, but you CAN NOT multi-focus.
It’s important to know what the productive actions are that move you closer to your goals each day, and have a LASER FOCUS on those actions until they are done. This is sometimes difficult with online MLM, because our various actions take differing amounts of time & energy to have effect.
Some things we do have almost instantaneous effect, but others take time to build up momentum, and often work in tandem with complementary things we are doing. It’s easy to get impatient & start moving in 10 different directions trying to figure stuff out.
Your first focus should be building your list, just as with offline MLM. Without a large list you will never make the massive cash that is available in this industry. This should remain your focus for a specific amount of time per day as long as you are actively building your business.
Professional relationship building is the cornerstone of your efforts. Without heavy traffic & the large numbers of prospects that brings your way, the rest of what you do is pointless. This is a numbers game.
You have to build relationships with a lot of people to find the 5-10 truly phenomenal team members each year who will make you massively successful. You must have the proper focus on this action to get results.
So in summary-
Take consistent, focused action on building your list.
Professionally build relationships with your list every day for an amount of time that gets the results you want – MINIMUM 90-180 minutes per day
Focus, focus, focus

There is so much hype in internet marketing, the direct sales industry & MLM, that you may be trying to figure out what to believe. I get what you are feeling and going through because I just went through that journey very recently.
Like I was several months ago, you may be experiencing information overload with all the info available in today’s ultra connected world. When your future and your quality of life depends so much on making the right decisions, it’s easy to get into a state of analysis paralysis.
Many of you are looking at the world of network marketing as a potential next step in life. In fact, there are 175,000 new people per week getting into our industry. Why are so many people doing this when the numbers say that 97% of people fail at MLM or direct sales professions?
Well, if you’re like me, you maybe put in 10 or 20 years of your life in an industry just to find yourself underemployed, laid off or downsized. After having the devotion to your career that you’ve had for so long, and making sacrifices for the benefit of your loved ones, you’ve found that your industry or career was not giving you what you needed.
I was not meeting my financial needs or achieving my personal goals, and yet I’d put in as many as 100 hours per week for extended periods at my job. It would seem like when things get rough, there would be some support from the company you’d sacrificed so much for.
Like me, many of you are finding out this is not so.
Being forced to realize that you may have to make dramatic changes to have what you want in life is a little unsettling. But there is nothing like having that eye opener to get you out of your comfort zone.
Don’t feel like you are all alone. I talk to professionals every day who are dealing with exactly what you are. This dramatic economic upheaval is causing millions of people to reconsider their path in life.
Many of you will come to me and ask what my primary MLM is at some point in our journey together. Many of you will join my team. What I want for you is that you have realistic expectations for what it’s possible for you to achieve, and also about what you need to put in to achieve that potential.
I mentor with most of the highly successful, brightest minds in this industry. One thing that I’ve discovered from them is that they all worked very hard in the beginning.
Understand that you need to treat MLM as a business, not as a hobby. Amateurs do not get paid, professionals do. Many of you want to know what you’ll need to invest, and since time is our most valuable resource, I’ll focus on that.
For the entire duration of your career in network marketing, you must dedicate a minimum of 90-180 minutes per day to professional relationship building, even if you do nothing else.
This is not to say you don’t need to do anything else. It’s that without this minimum of time dedicated to professional relationship building, nothing else you do will matter at all.
Sorry to be so blunt, but if you are not willing to make a commitment to this, you need to forget about MLM. Please realize this statement is not to be rude, it’s in your best interest.
Listen carefully, it does not matter whether you are doing your MLM deal online or offline. It’s all about relationships. The time on this task is not optional, it is a must. The other thing I’d like to mention was a direct question posed to Mark Yarnell in our last meeting.
The question is, “How much other time do I need to spend besides the time I spend on professional relationship building each day?”
As Mark indicated, there is really no exact answer for everyone. While top earners like Mark Yarnell, or Jeffery Combs, or Mike Dillard may only work a 4 hour day 4 days a week now that they have achieved success and wealth beyond your wildest dreams, it did not start that way for them.
Most of these top producers, when asked the direct question, will tell you they worked 10, 12 or even 15 hours a day for months or even years to break through and learn to earn the big bucks.
If you truly want phenomenal success in the world of network marketing (or anything for that matter), you need to realize that it will require lots of work and commitment.
It will require that professional relationship building become a habit as ingrained as brushing your teeth each morning. And it will require a lot of time, in the beginning, if you want to achieve freedom as quickly as possible.
To Your Success,
Scott

This may sound like an outlandish claim, but this is not the high end of what top producers in our industry are making. This is just a number based on what many aspiring top producers would like to make to feel some success, and to feel comfortable with their family’s future.
Last night I was blessed to meet with Mr Mark Yarnell, a legendary figure in network marketing. he revealed the “5 Things You Need To Do To Get To $100,000 Per Month In Your First Year In Network Marketing”, and within those 5 things the “10 Landmines To Avoid” that will destroy your chances of doing so.
Now if you think that $100,000 sounds like a ridiculous claim, remember that the people making that amount are not the top producers, looking at the MLM industry as a whole (though they may be top producers in your company, depending on it’s size).
Mark Yarnell, the source of these awesome MLM secrets, has made more than $30 MILLION in this industry, so he has at least a leg or two to stand on. Think about a more contemporary top producer Mr Jeffery Combs, who last I checked, had done single months in network marketing only of over $400,000. It’s absolutely doable.
Mr Yarnell made an interesting comparison regarding income or performance claims. Say you went to play for a pro team as a new player, and you went through a sort of orientation process. Does the coach say to you, “Hey you see that player on the bench? He’s never played in a single game, but he gets paid $200,000 per year. If you practice really hard maybe you can be as good as him one day.”
Absolutely not! He’s going to say, “See that player there? That’s Michael Jordan. He starts every game, scores X number of points, and makes $18 million per year. If you commit to practicing really hard maybe you can be better than him and make more money than him.”
Yet, in our industry regulators don’t want us to mention what it’s possible to make. Isn’t it crazy that FTC regulators want us to only talk to you about the 97% of people who fail and never make more than $10 per month in this industry? What a sad thing to aspire to. I don’t know about you, but I’m looking at the top producers to determine what’s possible for me, what I’m going to aspire to be.
You should be as well.
So what do you need to do? As always, when I meet with the true professionals in this industry, they distill it down to simple steps that require a lot of hard work.
“5 Things You Need To Do To Get To $100,000 Per Month In Your First Year In Network Marketing”
I. Ask yourself, “Would I recruit my mom into this company”?
Your core values have to match the company you’re getting into.
You need to believe in your opportuniy 100%.
If your core values do not align you WILL sabotage yourself before you get to the big money & success. It CAN NOT be just about the money.
II. You need to look at the size & potential of the market sector your company and products are in.
Are these products a huge percentage of people use regularly, or does just a small percentage of people use them.
Your best potential lies with products that have a huge & growing market.
III. You must spend two hours per day at professional relationship building, every day, 5 days per week.
In MLM, you are paid to do only two things. Recruit team members and retail product.
Professionals get paid, amateurs do not.
IV. Decide to get to $100,000 per month. Decide how long you will take to get there – One, Two or Three Years.
Based on 20 days per month, you need to present to 30 people per day to get to $100,000 per month in one year.
Based on 20 days per month, you need to present to 20 people per day to get to $100,000 per month in two years.
Based on 20 days per month, you need to present to 10 people per day to get to $100,000 per month in three years.
Anything less than 10 people per day, & you reach a point of diminishing returns. Decide on one, two or three years.
V. Avoid the landmines.
The Comparison Bomb – Do not look at other deals or companies. If someone in your team tries to show you one, they are a vampire to you. Get far away. Focus, focus, focus.
Multiple Income Stream Bomb – You must not be in more than one deal or company. Selling affiliate tools that complement your primary MLM is okay. You must not promote more than one MLM.
Multi-tasking Bomb – Never multi-task when you are doing professional relationship building. We can multi-task, but we cannot multi-focus. Hence the laws and number of crashes related to driving while using cellphones.
Banker Bomb – You can never bankroll prospects into your MLM, no matter how committed they say they are.
Product Expert Bomb – Don’t waste too much time or be overly concerned with knowing or explaining the tech aspects of your deal. Too much info will confuse your prospect.
Friends & Family Bomb – When you are getting started with MLM, these people are not your prospects. When you start making big bucks they will beat down your door to join. Why chase them away & ruin relationships with them when you are getting started?
Networking Bomb – Don’t go to networking meetings to promote your business. These people are not there to join you, they want to recruit you into their deal.
Dabble Bomb – Don’t waste time on dabblers. People who just want to work a few hours a week and make lots of money are not good prospects.
Dump Bomb – Don’t give them too much info in the beginning. This will confuse them or scare them away.
Shortcut Bomb – There are no shortcuts. It’s hard work to succeed in network marketing.
Wow! I’m just as excited now as I was last night in the meeting with Mark Yarnell. This is powerful stuff people!
What is so powerful about this is that it’s simple enough for anyone to execute. There are no barriers to entry. It doesn’t matter your education, your family status, your financial situation. Anyone can do these steps.
It does require hard work and commitment. This is why most people never achieve this income, even with these MLM secrets handed to them.
It requires taking consistent focused action to achieve this level of success and more. See my post here on this subject – MLM Key Elements_Action

This is a great question. There are so many different types of products from Acai juice to ZurvitaTech. This question is kind of a loaded question as well. It’s important that you understand that there are far more important aspects than products, companies & comp plans, when deciding which network marketing company to join.
Since the focus of these ten questions is to address the new prospects question very specifically, I will stick to that. The reasons why product, compensation and company are secondary factors in your decision is another article all of its own. I’ll just mention here that what you bring to the table is way more important than these external factors.
So what would be great criteria to consider when deciding on a product you might want to sell with a network marketing business ?
The first thing I would do (and did), as is referred to in this article on my website – Vemma, would be to ask myself this question. If I were not looking at this company as a business opportunity, might I be a repeat buyer of the company’s products?
This gives some indication of possible demand for the product and it tells you whether you are interested enough in the products to be selling them. As far as making a choice of what MLM company you will join based on product alone, I would say that’s a bad idea.
It is good to be selling something you know and love. If you do some market research, you can find out more on which areas are hottest at the moment you are looking, but there are some themes and areas that are very strong.
Home parties have been strong since Tupperware got started. Today one of the hotter MLM companies is in direct sales through home jewelry parties. Another international MLM, which has a super hot market, sells fat-reducing and body-shaping garments, as well as skin care and a nutritional line.
Energy drinks and shots are a hot industry, but to me these don’t stand on their own. There are too many options readily available at your corner store for this to be a viable MLM on its own. These drinks are great as part of another stronger product line.
“Magic juices” and getting into why one might be better than the next could probably take volumes, so I won’t do that. I’ll just say that there is tons of competition in this market.
The products here that do well are from companies that have something else going for them besides the product. The point is this area is saturated with companies that have great products. Make sure you look at the big picture, not just the “magic juice”, if you’re signing up as a rep for a “magic juice” MLM.
Education and training are hot products both in the network marketing industry and in the world of traditional business. I believe this to be the most promising market in network marketing today. This is why I give away MLM training, & sell affiliate products for your education, training and leverage. This is also why my primary MLM is in the education & training business.
I believe that the people like me who provide training, education and tools to the entire network marketing industry are the best positioned for long-term success. Quality education and training is always in demand. Supplying this to our industry, I believe, is more promising than focusing on a certain company or product for its own sake.
Plus, I just feel great about it everyday! Nobody complains about products that help them become a better person and develop to their full potential.
There are tons of other innovative products out there, some you would never dream of. If you want to be in MLM as a business, when thinking about whom to join, don’t base it just on the products they offer. Make sure you look at the big picture and really check out the various products available to your new home business.
Then when you make your final choice of company to join, make sure the company is marketing something you get value from, you’ll enjoy using and selling, and something you can personally get really excited about.
To your success,
Scott

Taking action is one of the most often discussed points in any plan that involves goal setting. Taking action is one of the key components to any attempt toward changing something, toward getting results.
It does not matter what type of business you are in or what type of success you are looking for, the step of execution, of taking action, is essential. This step can’t be done for you. Action requires taking personal responsibility for outcomes. Not taking action is the opposite. You are giving away your power to whoever IS taking action.
Yes, you can delegate things, and you should, because you can’t be expert at everything. You will find that you are driven to handle some of the most important actions in your life and business personally. Why? Because perhaps you already realize, to some extent, that a certain few actions can be directly responsible for 80-90 percent of your success & results. 80-20 rule, right?
It’s important to note the difference between action and its laser-focused, powerful relative. If I’m not focused on results, success or achieving my goals in the actions I take, then I’m just taking action. I can take this quality of action hundreds of times and go nowhere. If I take the right quality of action, it only takes a minimum of those quality, powerful actions to get results.
I have personally taken numerous actions in my life that haven’t really had a whole lot of effect on moving me in the direction of my desired goals. Most of us could say the same.
So what is the quality of action I’m talking about? It is simply this.
You have to make a commitment to taking consistent, focused actions that move you closer to any goal or result you want to accomplish from those actions.
It’s that simple. No complicated explanation. No twenty bullet points. It does not get any simpler than this. Now executing this in all that you do may take some work. The point is that the concept is simple. Most of the true wisdom that I’ve found regarding success, motivation, marketing or being an entrepreneur has come in this form.
It comes from short, simple, concise statements that have immense power if applied in your life and business.
Don’t just take action. Take the time to study and learn what you need for success in your chosen endeavor. Figure out what gets the results you want by looking at what people are doing who are having success in your business or endeavor.
Make a commitment to taking those productive actions consistently and with laser focus. Repeat this step again & again. It really is this simple, and without this type of action, nothing you do will live up to its full potential.
Without this key element you may be doomed to mediocrity or worse. If you want phenomenal success and massive leverage in all that you are doing, make this concept part of your basic foundation or blueprint for your success.
Key Element #3 – Make a commitment to taking consistent, focused actions that move you closer to your desired goal or outcome.
To Your Success,
Scott

With things going on like the record numbers of unemployed today & jobless college graduates, many people are looking at alternatives. Hardship is causing many who never seriously considered network marketing as a career to take a closer look.
There has been an influx of new professionals from corporate America into the MLM industry and they are building teams and incomes very rapidly. I myself belong to this group, & am leaving sales and management in corporate America behind right now.
I realized that my most important skill that I needed to learn was how to create wealth at will. I decided that learning marketing, sales and leadership at a much higher level was my key. I wanted to grow in these areas & chose to do so as an internet entrepeneur.
I did exhaustive hours of research and decided my best hopes lie in network marketing.
Many people are asking a lot of the same questions I was asking and one of the most common is, “Is MLM a pyramid scheme?” Obviously, if you put your friend or family member on your list, get them to sign up and then you both find out it is a pyramid scheme, this is going to be hard on your relationships.
You really don’t need this, nor do I.
So how do you tell if the MLM you are thinking of signing up for is a pyramid scheme or a legitimate company? There is a very basic way. If they are just recruiting you, so that you can recruit more people, and if there is no real product or service…you are looking at a pyramid scheme.
In other words, if the money the company makes, as well as your income and bonuses, are just based on how many people you enroll…that’s a pyramid scheme.
Even if there is some product being delivered but it is only bought for the purpose of joining the deal, not for consumption or sale…you are still probably looking at a pyramid scheme. Be very careful with any MLM that resembles this. It’s probably best to get far away.
Something you might want to consider when evaluating this question is that great MLM companies should have the following:
#1 – Great ongoing MLM training & marketing training
#2 – A low (or no) initial investment
#3 – No requirement to purchase or keep an inventory of stock to remain a distributor
#4 – A great return policy to consumers and buyback policy for reps
#5 – Reps that don’t go around misrepresenting incomes
#6 – A focus on making retail sales of their products
#7 – A management team and legal team that are experienced & successful within the network marketing industry
To Your Success,
Scott

This question kind of makes me laugh, but let’s dig in. First of all, the network marketing industry has existed for over 50 years, and in plain view. If something was illegal, do you think there would be 4,800 companies plus involved in this industry worldwide, and more jumping in every day?
Let me add a disclaimer. There are a few countries where anything related to MLM or network marketing is considered illegal. Please make sure you check local laws. This article is not meant to be legal advice.
The attorneys with my current primary MLM are quite sure that MLM is legal and that we operate within the law. The attorneys with my affiliate system also indicate we are operating completely legitimately, as well.
Like in any other industry, there are snake oil salesmen, cons and rip-offs. The MLM industry is similar to franchising in its infancy. MLM has only recently begun to be accepted by traditional businessmen like Donald Trump.
When franchising (think McDonalds) was up for vote among our politicians this past century, it almost lost. Many famous politicians and businessmen did not understand the concepts behind franchising and said it would never work. McDonalds and many other powerful franchises would not exist as they do today if these naysayers had their way.
Certainly franchises have changed the face of history somewhat. Today network marketing is changing the personal history of families and individuals, one by one.
Within all territories that I operate, MLM is quite legal. I market my MLM and my affiliate products globally, with a few exceptions. Pyramid schemes ARE illegal and are often confused with MLM due to the shapes used for visual aids.
If you are unsure whether something is a legitimate MLM or a pyramid scheme, you can check with the Direct Selling Association, a trade organization focused on the industry and based on ethics, trust and confidence.
Another resource for your MLM due diligence is NPROS.com. There are definitely pyramid schemes out there masquerading as legitimate network marketing businesses. Just make sure you do a little background on a company before you join or dismiss it as a pyramid scheme.
MLM is quite legal and can dramatically transform your life, if utilized well.
Next question will be – #4 Is MLM A Pyramid Scheme?

Right now in the USA, record numbers of people are losing jobs, becoming underemployed or finishing college without great career prospects. It’s no surprise that record numbers of people are looking for a great way to make a living.
This brings me to our question above. 175,000 people are joining the network marketing industry each and every week right now. There has to be a reason for that. Is it just that they don’t care how they make a living? Will they rob, cheat, steal for survival?
Is MLM ethical?
I have to say that I believe people are inherently good. With the experience I’ve had in my life I’ve certainly encountered my share of crappy people, so this is not some it’s all good, perpetually optimistic person talking to you. I’m definitely closer to the realist side of things, even to the point of being skeptical and cynical when life warrants a good dose of that.
I’m going to give you some facts about MLM, and let you make your own decision.
First of all, I’ll give you a quick personal observation based on my experience with the industry. There are incredible people in this industry today. Top-notch professionals are leaving corporate America, looking for something better. These are people who could go find another job even with this job market. Leaders with strong sales skills are always in demand, even in recessions.
I fall into this category, and when evaluating my options, I decided against another sales and management job. I decided to leave the corporate world for the MLM business. Why? I felt that it was the opportunity with the most potential, by far. Many other professionals are making the same choice.
Certainly there are good and bad network marketing companies, just like there are traditional corporations, or people. This is just a part of life.
A very high percentage of people fail at MLM, both in starting a network marketing company or starting as a distributor. This also holds true with any type of traditional business start up. Being an entrepreneur is not for everyone.
Why would people choose to leave their comfort zone and become entrepreneurs in MLM with everything on the line?
Traditional companies are designed so that the people who get involved early and who are at the top of the organization make the most money, by far. Should it be any different with MLM?
50% of all new businesses fail in their first several years. It’s common knowledge in the industry that this percentage is exceeded with MLM. I see this as the natural order. Compared to traditional businesses, a one person, work from home business involves very little motivation and pressure from anyone outside oneself. Can the increased failure rate, therefore, be an indication of an unethical business?
In fact don’t most people who try juggling, riding a unicycle, becoming a pro athlete, being an opera singer, being a ballerina, becoming a professional artist or musician fail? Can the fact that a pursuit or endeavor requires commitment, consistent action, and developing exceptional personal skill sets be an indication that it is inherently unethical?
In research that Dr Charles F King of the University of Illinois has conducted since the 90’s some interesting things have been observed about the network marketing industry. Of those who get involved with MLM 95% fail. Of those that stick with one company and stay in the industry for 10 years or more, more than 90% achieve great success, reaching 6 or 7 figure earner status.
In everything you do, you get out of it what you put in. This is true in the network marketing business. However, if you put in a huge amount at the beginning, you have the potential to get way more out in the long term.
Today people who are having difficulty financially are being offered freedom in one of the fastest growing industries on the planet.
They are not limited by being poor (often start up costs are very low in MLM). They are not required to have a college degree (though a commitment to ongoing training & education and personal development is necessary). They can also put in the time they need to from home and whenever they have free time (no commuting, car, or leaving the family behind is necessary).
Is something that has this lack of barriers to entry, with the potential to leverage your time and money far beyond any other business, unethical? Is something that offers freedom and massive long term income beyond any other business you can start unethical? Is something that requires you to excel and develop yourself unethical?
I think you may have already answered your own question.
To your success,
Scott
